Swim Time

The weather has been gorgeous lately so we have been going to the pool a lot. Last weekend we were at 88- perfect!! Davis is a total water baby. He had a double ear infection in these pictures, but he is so happy in the water. He spent 2 hours in the pool and cried when we took him out. Emmary is much more conservative and stays by the stairs most of the time. She occasionally ventures out into the water, but that is okay with me because I am so paranoid about drowning. We love having a pool and hot tub and couldn't imagine living in St. George without them.

A Little Thing Called Payback

I just have to share this funny story of something that happened at the gym yesterday. Davis has an ear infection in both ears so he is on an antibiotic that I put in his bottle while we were running out the door. He was sitting there drinking it and my friend Kristie's little boy, Daxton, came and bit Davis on the nose. Davis was upset and Daxton was put in timeout in the playpen. A few minutes later I look over and Davis is standing at the playpen looking at Daxton. Then a few minutes later I look again and there is pink throw up on the floor and running down the side of the playpen, and of coarse on Daxton. It wasn't just a little bit on Daxton either, it was in his hair and down his clothes and on his face- YUCK!!! So I run in and grab Davis and move him and there isn't a drop on him at all. Kristie said "Woah, did your kid just puke on my kid?" and what could I say other than, "I guess so. That's just a little thing we call payback!" Really there was no hard feeling between Kristie and I, and I know she reads this blog, so love ya girl. It was just the funniest thing I had seen in a while. But it wasn't so funny when I was cleaning it up. And just a side note, Davis has never thrown up in his life, and he hasn't thrown up his medicine since either. So watch out kids, Davis won't take no crap from nobody :)

Naked Boy

I just couldn't resist posting a few naked pictures of this boy- with censorship of course! This week Davis got weighed in at his 9 month checkup and he is 24 lbs 8 oz and is 24 inches long. I believe Emmary was 15 months old when she hit 25 pounds and we thought she was big. We make jokes about how chubby Davis is, but we are really so happy that he is healthy. It is a relief to see all the rolls on his legs!! He also got a buzz cut this week. I don't like it, but Tim does- he thought his hair was just too crazy before. Good thing it grows so fast!

Easter

Here are some Easter pictures. It was really bright outside so we are all squinting, except for the kids together in the chair. That picture makes me laugh because Davis looks about as big as Emmary. Would you guess that they are 2 years apart? Even though Easter came early this year, it feels so Springy and that always makes me think of new birth and renewal. And that of coarse makes me think of Jesus and His wonderful gift. I get to be with my sweet kids and husband forever and that is the best news ever!! How wonderful that we get a reminder of that every Spring.

Spring Time!!!

It is officially Spring in St. George!!! The weather has been beautiful this week. I actually got a sunburn while on our walk to the park yesterday. My parents are here for Easter so I had my mom help me plant some flowers in front of my door. I know it's not much, but I am very proud of my creation. I don't have a green thumb at all- I would say it is closer to Black!! Maybe we should start a bet on how long I can keep them alive :)

Silly Boy

I'm going to be honest. When I found out that I was going to have a boy I was very sad and tried not to cry in the middle of the ultrasound. However, ever since Davis was born I have been so in love with boys. Boys are just different in some ways and I feel blessed to have both sexes. He is so easy going and laid back and just plain silly all the time. The top left picture is Davis with food stuck to his face. The top right is Davis with his morning hair he must have inherited from his papa Mark. Bottom left is Davis crawling!!! Finally at 9 months he has built up the strength to lug his chubby body around. And bottom right is Davis sleeping in the high chair. Some times he is too tired to eat (not very often obviously!) All in all, he is just a sweet boy.

Sweet, Sweet Emmary

Emmary has been neglicted on this blog, so I made a colage just for her. Up top are pictures of her playing with her princess garb. She doesn't act like a girl very often, so we had to catch it on film. She would much rather play with tools and musical instruments than anything girly. I also wanted to show off her curly hair. There must be some mutated gene that gave her this gorgeous curly hair and I love it!! She is also our little elastic-girl. She is the star of her gymnastics class because she just folds and bends with no effort on her part. Even if she didn't have all of these fun charachteristics, we would still love her- these just make us love her even more!!!
