The Cat's Out of the Bag

It's time to let the cat out of the bag. Some of you may know this anyway, but Tim go laid off from his job. It is real hard to be a civil engineer in St. George right now. Most of the people who live here are in jobs related to the housing market, just like us. But since the housing market has completely crashed, Tim's work had nothing for him to do. We are very sad about this because we loved his company and Tim would love to be able to go back and work for them one day if things work out to make that possible. In the mean time, Tim is working full time at finding a job and I couldn't be prouder of him. He is on the phone and emailing and searching the web CONSTANTLY!! I can't even make phone calls during the day because he is so busy using the phone. Speaking of phones, Tim's cell phone is no longer ours because it was a work number and he had to turn it back in when he left. So erase the 680... number because it won't lead you to us anymore.

We wanted to share this on the blog for 2 reasons. 1- to thank those of you who do know for your concern and prayers. I can't speak for Tim, but I feel totally uplifted and strengthened by all of your prayers. I am really not worried about things working out. I know things will happen for a reason and we are looking at this as a major learning experience. Some days are better than others, but for the most part I am feeling pretty positive. 2- To see if we can get any referrals from our loved ones on possible job options. We are really trying to stay in St. George because now we are tied to this house and we would lose money on the sale. But also, we just feel at home here. This is where we want to be and where we want to raise our kids. We know we might hit a point where we have exhausted all options and will have to look elsewhere. But until we get that inspiration, we are waiting for a miracle. So if you know anyone who knows anyone who knows anyone in the engineering field please let us know. Tim has had 3 interviews so far and one more on Wednesday, so we figure the laws of probability are on our side and something has to work out eventually right? We will keep the blog updated with any new news!!

We have been in your shoes, and you are right to keep a positive attitude, things WILL work out and being negative will only make it worse. I will keep praying for your sweet family!
